Saving Items as Printable PDF Files
If you want to create a printable version of an item, you can save it as a PDF file. When saving items as a PDF, you can choose whether or not to include the item’s scoring guidelines in the PDF file. PDF files display items with paper-friendly formatting (if available) and also display an item’s properties.
You may not be allowed to save printouts of items in certain libraries. If you select an item for which printing is prohibited, a warning message appears when you try to save it as a PDF.
If an item’s content is available in both English and Spanish, its PDF displays the English version by default. To display the Spanish version, select Spanish from the Display Language drop-down on the Items tab toolbar.
1.To save an item as a PDF, open the Items tab and select the checkbox for each item you wish to save as a PDF, then click Save as PDF above the table (you may need to apply filters first). If you select multiple items, they will be saved as a single PDF file.
- You may not be able to save a PDF for a large selection of items (the exact number of items at which issues can arise depends on the items’ content).
2.Click Generate PDF. The PDF file will be added to the Secure File Center.
3.When the item PDF finishes processing, click Secure File Center in the banner. The Secure File Center appears.
4.To download the PDF to your computer, click the name of the appropriate file.
- Files are automatically removed from the Secure File Center after 30 days.
- If you want to remove a file from the Recent tab without deleting it, you can click
in the Actions column for that file to archive it. You can access archived files from the Archived tab on the left side of the Secure File Center.
- To delete a file from the Secure File Center, click
in the Actions column for that file.
